BikeManager is a free bicycle maintenance tracking app with Strava integration. Your data belongs to you and is stored on your device. We are not a substitute for a professional bike mechanic — always have your bike serviced by a qualified professional. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice.

1. Who we are

BikeManager is developed by Dynamic Stability Training, based in the Netherlands.

2. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using BikeManager, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your accounts.

4. Service description

BikeManager helps you track bicycle components, monitor wear, log maintenance, and sync ride data from Strava. The app provides:

  • Component tracking with wear indicators and replacement alerts
  • Maintenance logging
  • Activity sync via the Strava API
  • Push notifications for new activities and maintenance reminders

5. Cost

BikeManager is currently available free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance and any paid features will require your explicit consent before purchase.

6. User responsibilities

By using BikeManager, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
  • Not use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
  • Not create automated scripts or bots to interact with the service
  • Not use the app for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

7.1 Our property

BikeManager, including its design, code, branding, icons, and content, is owned by Dynamic Stability Training. All rights reserved. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal purposes.

7.2 Your data

You own your data. Bikes, components, maintenance logs, and settings you enter belong to you. We do not claim any ownership of your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

8. Third-party services

BikeManager integrates with the following third-party services:

We are not responsible for:

  • Outages, changes, or discontinuation of third-party services
  • Changes to the Strava API that may affect functionality
  • Apple App Store policies

If Strava changes or restricts their API, we may need to modify or remove features that depend on it.

9. Data and privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

Key points

Most data is stored locally on your device. We do not use analytics, advertisements, or tracking cookies. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account at any time via app settings.

10. Service availability

We strive to keep BikeManager available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We do not offer an SLA (Service Level Agreement).

The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance or updates
  • Technical issues beyond our control
  • Third-party service outages (Strava, Firebase, Apple)

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime in advance.

11. Important disclaimer — no professional advice

BikeManager is a tracking and reminder tool, not a substitute for professional bicycle maintenance.

Wear indicators, replacement alerts, and maintenance reminders are estimates based on the data you and Strava provide. They do not account for riding conditions, component quality, installation, or other factors that affect wear and safety.

Always have your bicycle inspected and serviced by a qualified bike mechanic. You are solely responsible for the safe condition of your bicycle.

We expressly disclaim any liability for accidents, injuries, property damage, or any other harm arising from reliance on the app's maintenance suggestions, wear indicators, or component alerts.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

BikeManager is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Accuracy or reliability of data
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to BikeManager is limited to €50.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits.

Exclusions: This limitation does not apply to:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Dutch or EU consumer law

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dynamic Stability Training from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms of Use or your misuse of the app, except to the extent caused by our negligence.

15. Termination

15.1 By you

You may stop using BikeManager at any time. To fully terminate:

  1. Delete your account via app settings (this removes your data from Firebase)
  2. Delete the app from your device (this removes all local data)

15.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms of Use
  • Your use poses a security risk to the service or other users
  • Required by law

We will provide reasonable notice where possible. In cases of serious violations, we may act immediately.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. In the event of material changes:

  • We will notify you at least 30 days in advance via a notification in the app
  • The updated "last updated" date will appear at the top of this document
  • Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
  • If you do not agree with the changes, you may stop using the app and delete your account

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, you retain the protections granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
